Christina Basedow is a PhD student at Jacobs University, Bremen working on the EMOTE Project as a Research Fellow. Her PhD research will attempt to examine empathic responses to artificial agents and humans, influenced by situational and relational moderators.
Prior to starting on the EMOTE Project, Christina completed her Bachelor degree in Health Sciences at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada where she also worked as a teaching and research assistant. She thereafter completed a Masters of Science degree in Psychology through Walden University.
She worked as a Clinical Counselor in a private Addiction Treatment Center for three years. Most recently, Christina worked as a Youth/Adult Disordered Eating Therapist and as a Clinical Counselor for children who have been sexually abused and adults with mental health issues.
