Sofia Serholt is a PhD Student within the Department of Applied Information Technology with focus on educational science at the University of Gothenburg. Her research interests mainly concern the effect of ICT solutions within authentic educational settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Education for teaching English at upper secondary school, as well as for educational activities within Learning and ICT from the University of Gothenburg.
In EMOTE Sofia has been involved with the design of the showcases and partly responsible for the longitudinal evaluations. Sofia has evaluated the EMOTE showcase through an ethnographic long-term child-robot interaction study within a Swedish primary school. She has contributed with a pedagogical perspective on child-robot interaction, as well as insights concerning practical implications for teachers within the educational context. Findings will be presented in her upcoming PhD dissertation.
