2007- Carlos Martinho, PhD. at Instituto Superior Técnico. The thesis was entitled “Anticipatory Believability” and was awarded in September, 2007. At the moment Carlos is a Professor at IST and a member of GAIPS.

2005-  Rui Prada, PhD. at Instituto Superior Técnico. The thesis was entitled “Teaming Up Humans and Synthetic Characters” and was awarded in December, 2005. At the moment Rui is a Prefessor at IST and a member of the GAIPS.

2004- Isabel Machado Alexandre, PhD. at the Computer Based Learning Unit, University of Leeds. She was co-supervisor of Isabel in collaboration with Prof. Paul Brna. The thesis was entitled: “Children, Stories and Dramatic Games: A Support and Guidance Architecture for Story Creation” and was awarded in September, 2004. At the moment Isabel is a Professor at ISCTE in Lisbon.
