Maria Margarida Serralheiro is a PhD student at Instituto Superior Técnico and a researcher in the Group of AI for People and Society (GAIPS) at INESC-ID. She holds a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree (MSc) in Veterinary Medicine from Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias de Lisboa (ULHT) and, more recently, earned a BSc in Multimedia Engineering from Instituto Superior de Tecnologias Avançadas de Lisboa (ISTEC).
Her research focuses on Human-AI Interaction, a multidisciplinary field that combines Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, and Psychology. Her main interest lies in Human-AI collaboration, particularly in contexts where AI is seen as a partner rather than merely a tool.
