The tropical forests of the Brazilian Legal Amazon (ALB) play an essential role in global climate regulation and biodiversity conservation, yet continue to face severe pressures from fire, logging, illegal mining, and extreme droughts. In response to these critical environmental challenges, this research initiative is developing an advanced intelligent monitoring system designed to predict and alert for emerging deforestation and degradation zones across the Amazon.
