The AI-ASSISTANTS 4PID project focuses on empowering people with intellectual disabilities (PID) through the strategic adoption of AI-assisted solutions. Its primary mission is to bridge the digital divide and foster independent living by transforming how individuals with intellectual disabilities interact with and control emerging technologies.

Co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme, the project is coordinated by IAT (Germany) in collaboration with a European consortium comprising AIAS (Italy), CECD (Portugal), INESC-ID (Portugal), UPV (Spain), Amica (Spain), ARFIE (Belgium), and HURT (Croatia).
