Treme-Treme

Finished Project

Treme-Treme addresses the significant scarcity of pedagogical tools for seismic risk education in Portugal. Established to enhance earthquake and tsunami literacy among students and the general public, the initiative features a variety of resources, including a multilingual serious game available on multiple operating systems.

Furthermore, creators have published specialized instructional manuals and practical guides, such as “Por que é que o chão se move?” and the “Guia Prático Escola Resiliente aos Sismos”, to support teachers and reduce hazards in schools.

The project has achieved widespread visibility through partnerships with museums, media features, and school workshops across the metropolitan area of Lisbon. Ultimately, this pioneering initiative ensures long-term sustainability and transferibility by providing accessible, adaptable materials that promote a culture of safety and resilient communities.

Participating GAIPS members include: Rui Prada, Inês Batina.
