Joana Campos is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Instituto Superior Técnico,
and Researcher at INESC-ID. Her research is multidisciplinary and addresses fundamental issues in the frontier of artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction, grounded in the computational modelling of human cognition, emotion and social behaviour.

She is particularly interested in understanding people’s individual and group behaviour and how that impacts human-agent (virtual or robotic) interaction.
