Interests

Rui Prada is an associate professor at the Computer Science Department of Instituto Superior Técnico – University of Lisbon, where he teaches courses on User Centred Design, Game Design and Development and Socially Intelligent Agents. He is a senior researcher at INESC-ID in the Intelligent Agents and Synthetic Characters Group, where he develops his current research interests in developing artificial intelligence mechanisms to improve user interaction with interactive virtual environments, such as games. Particularly, he pursues the development of computational models for social intelligence and social believability and the development of serious games. He is co-author of the book “Design e Desenvolvimento de Jogos” and co-founder of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Ciências dos Videojogos (SPCV).
